چکیده
Abstract Abdominal compartment syndrome is a pontentially life-threatening condition seen in critically ill patients, and most often caused by acute pancreatitis, postoperative abdominal vacular thrombosis or mesenteric ischemia. A descompressive laparotomy sometimes required, resulting hernias, subsequent definitive wall closure challenging. Aim This study aims to describe short term results after modified Chevrel technique for midline incisional repair patients witch hypertension. Materials & Methods We performed as an 9 between January 2016 2022. All presented varying degrees of Results Nine were treated with new (6 male 3 female), all whom had conditions that precluded unfolding the contralateral side means closure. The reasons this diverse, including presence ileostomies, intra-abdominal drainages, Kher tubes inverted T scar from previous transplant. use mesh was initially dismissed 6 (66.7%) because they required surgeries. None developed hernia, although two died months procedure. Only one patient buldging. decrease intrabdominal pressure achieved patients. Conclusion can be used option ventral hernias cases where entire cannot used.

Modified Fontan conversion: an alternative technique for grown-up patients
Method A 28-year-old woman (tricuspid atresia/Blalock-Taussing shunt) underwent atriopulmonary Fontan procedure at the age of 3. At 25-year follow-up, she developed a progressive worsening in functional class and palpitations, despite antiarrhythmic treatment. Imaging studies showed no stenosis in the atriopulmonary connection. She underwent Fontan conversion. The right atrium (RA) was extremel...
متن کاملComparative evaluation of glycerolized bovine pericardium implant with prolene mesh for closure of large abdominal wall defects in dogs
The aim of this investigation was to evaluate the use of polypropylene mesh and glycerol preserved bovine pericardium (GBP) to repaire abdominal wall defects in 24 clinically healthy mongrel dogs using inlay and underlay techniques. Twenty four healthy mongrel dogs were used in this study. The animals were divided into two main groups according to the type of the prosthetic material used. Each ...
متن کاملTechniques for Abdominal Wall Closure after Damage Control Laparotomy: From Temporary Abdominal Closure to Early/Delayed Fascial Closure—A Review
Open abdomen (OA) has been an effective treatment for abdominal catastrophes in traumatic and general surgery. However, management of patients with OA remains a formidable task for surgeons. The central goal of OA is closure of fascial defect as early as is clinically feasible without precipitating abdominal compartment syndrome. Historically, techniques such as packing, mesh, and vacuum-assist...
متن کاملAbdominal Wall Closure of Renal Transplant Recipients: An Undermined Challenge
Tension-free muscle closure is essential in kidney transplantation, both in adult and pediatric patients. Tight muscle closure may lead to renal transplant compartment syndrome either due to compression of the renal parenchyma or due to kinking of the renal vessels. It may also cause kinking of the transplant kidney ureter, wound dehiscence and incisional hernia. Many techniques have been propo...
متن کاملDouble-lock technique: a simple method to secure abdominal wall closure.
Secure closure of a laparotomy incision remains an important aspect of any abdominal operation with the aim to avoid the postoperative morbidity and hasten the patient's recovery. Depending on the operator's preference and experience, it may be done by the continuous or the interrupted methods either using a non-absorbable or delayed-absorbable suture. We describe a simple, secure and quick tec...
